Collaboration, Not Compromise

Most recently, Automata LINQ, an open lab automation platform, was honoured with the prestigious iF Design Award in the Medical/Healthcare Product category. This recognition is a testament to the significant investment made in Industrial Design during the early stages. The quality and design of the product are key differentiators in the market.

Automata approached Tharsus during the “Scale” phase of their product development. In the industry, it is common to see initial design concepts compromised during the Design for Manufacture stage. However, Automata made it clear from the beginning that this was not an option for LINQ.

With close collaboration and a shared vision, we embraced the challenge together.

Throughout the Design for Manufacture phase, we worked hand-in-hand to preserve the original concept aesthetic and stay true to Automata’s vision. The final product, ready for volume manufacture, closely mirrored the early concept images.

By listening to each other, understanding priorities, and finding solutions to challenges, we ensured the delivery of the product they envisioned.
