Growth accelerated for second month in a row

Growth in the UK’s manufacturing sector has sped up for the second month in a row despite supply chains being squeezed, new data from IHS Markit and CIPS has shown. The manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) survey recorded a score of 58.1 last month, compared to 57.8 in October, showing that while there are still significant pressures on the sector, British manufacturers have increased their output and the manufacturing sector is growing.
