National industry recognition for Tharsus’ business model
The Manufacturer MX (manufacturing excellence) awards partner with The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). Together, they recognise outstanding manufacturing businesses across the country.
At this year’s ceremony Tharsus was named winner in the Most Progressive SME category- recognising Tharsus’ pioneering business model.
But what is our business model? Well, we partner with our customers, to navigate them along a journey of in-house design and manufacture, to develop highly agile and innovative strategic machines. These unique products are tailored to solve customers’ specific problems and develop their businesses. Most importantly, they can sustain competitive advantage in their market.
The judging panel felt this set an important example to businesses globally of how growth can really be accelerated through effective collaboration.
We were also shortlisted in both the Innovation and Design and Leadership and Strategy categories. These also show the success of our unique business model and our approach to developing strategic machines for companies new to product-ownership.
